...and so it begins.

I decided to start a blog as a way to keep in touch with all my friends and family at home while I am in France. Many people have asked about exchanging emails and whatnot, but I feel like this will be a much easier way for people to keep up with what I'm doing/seeing/etc.

So...for starters.

I have been accepted to be a teaching assistant in the Aix-Marseille school district in France starting in October. I depart for my journey on September 26. It still isn't completely real to me yet because honestly, I don't know much. I'm a super planner and I know if I think about it too much right now I will freak out.
